In the first chart it shows us that dogs sadly have to go through the pain and suffering the most. Cats and other animals don't experience as much, but every life counts and we should all try to help all animals. The second Chart shows how many reports of animal abuse there has been in 4 different years. This displays that animal cruelty reports has slowly increased in the last fifteen years.
In the last chart it shows what truly happens when someone is caught with animal cruelty. Only the smallest amount of them are jailed or fined. Most of what happens is that they are put in probation. Which is basically them being set free, as long as they have good behavior. Or they get community orders like picking up trash. Both of these things are very little for a crime so humongous. If these crimes were to be with humans, we know that the outcome would be more different. With more jailing, fines and life sentences. Animals and Humans are equal, so they deserve equal rights.
Based on the many statistics and charts we know that animal abuse is still widely seen across the nation. We need to know how to recognize and report it (Click what can we do to learn more). And it is very evident that only a small percentage of abuse is reported to police. This issue is very important because we share this world with animals and they were here first. Equality between people is largely talked about, now Equality between species should too.
